REDEFINED EXCELLENCE AS OFURE MARY EBHOMIELEN BREAKS 71-YEAR HISTORY OF NIGERIA’S PREMIER UNIVERSITY
Ofure Mary Ebhomielen, 21, Uromi, Edo State, Nigeria redefined Excellence, as she emerges the overall Best Undergraduate Student at the 2019 Foundation Day and Convocation Ceremony of the prestigious University of Ibadan (Nigeria), with a perfect 7.0 Cumulative Grade Point Average, CGPA.
Ofure Mary Ebhomielen of the Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Science is the fourth person to have obtained the perfect Cummulative Grade Point Average (7.0 out of 7.0) in the 71-year history of the University and the first female to wear this cap of Honour.
She attributed her Excellent performance to “Consistency and the right attitude to Studies”.
She said success did not come easy, adding that apart from making a good grade in the University, one still need to prove himself or herself in the outside world. She worked diligently and earned excellence.
According to Punch Newspapers, She plans on impacting Africans, positively by working in the research Lab. of companies like Microsoft, IBM, etc.
