Nigeria’s Paralympic Powerhouses: Oluwafemiayo and Onyinyechi Smash Records, Win Gold in Paris!

At the just concluded 2024 Paralympics in Paris, Nigerian powerlifters Folashade Oluwafemiayo and Onyinyechi Mark made history.

Oluwafemiayo won gold in the women’s 86kg category, breaking the world record with a 167kg lift. Onyinyechi Mark secured Nigeria’s first gold in the women’s 61kg category at the event, setting a new world record with a 150kg lift.

These incredible performances showcased their strength and determination on the global stage.
